School Leaving Qualification 12.5 credits / 250 hours 1st May 1.5 years from enrolment
PRACTICAL MODULE B ADOLESCENT Study of Montessori's Erdkinder plans in modern context in particular in relation to curriculum planning and group learning; study of Cosmic Education for adolescents - group projects, co-operation between subject teachers, Montessori biology and humanities materials. MONTESSORI CORE PRINCIPLES IN ACTION (Core Theory B) Study of how basic Montessori principles are applied in practice- relating to all age groups - two chapters/sections of study of about one month each Core theory A 7.5 credits / 150 hours 1st November December-March
ADOLESCENT AGE RELATED THEORY Study of how Montessori principles of child development and their application in practice are applied to adolescents (12+ years), plus study of Erdkinder - two chapters/sections of study of about one month each. This mini module also includes the theory online module examination and the final diploma assessment (a multiple choice test which is relevant only to those completing a full diploma.
