Period of Enrolment Withdrawal & Refund Policy
GENERAL
· The College requires students to complete all coursework assignments and to attend all course sessions. A student is also required to take the course examinations and complete the classroom practice programme.
· Students are expected to treat College property with care and to treat staff members and other students with courtesy at all times.
· Students are bound to treat passwords to the college website as strictly confidential.
· No diplomas are awarded in respect of incomplete or partially completed courses
· Payment of a deposit or promise to pay a deposit for a programme creates a binding agreement to pay the full fee subject to withdrawal and refund conditions.
· In the event of extenuating circumstances, cancellation may be considered at the discretion of the College on condition that such a cancellation is made in writing, stating the particular circumstances. See below.
· The course directors reserve the right to dismiss any student who is not satisfactorily complying with course conditions. In the event of dismissal the deposit is non-refundable and fees are refundable on a pro-rata basis less an administrative charge.
· Waterpark Montessori operates a full grievance procedure. (see Quality Statement)
· Confidentiality is guaranteed to all students on admission details, course work and evaluation. Students may have access to their own personal records upon request.
· When a students registers for the first time with Waterpark a registration fee of 3000nok is payable. This student may sign up for additional stepping stones units, modules or diploma programmes without re-registering. However the registration will lapse 2 years after completion of all registered units, unless another unit of study is requested and paid for.

DE-ACTIVATION
Students will be de-activated when
· Their enrolment period is finished
· They have finished their study (including 2 months graduate profile period for diploma)
· Their monthly payments or stage payments are two months behind
TIME LIMIT FOR STUDY - DIPLOMAS
Students may apply for extension of time on diploma programme after 3 year limit is up. (Enrolments for double age groups have either 4 or 5 years). An extension will be granted for 1 year on grounds of certain unusual circumstances such as illness. An administration fee applies = 3000nok
A maximum of ONE extension of one year each will be granted whatever the circumstances. Further extension is only available as repeat modules (see below) for whatever modules have not been completed.
TIME LIMIT - NON DIPLOMA
Students may apply for extension of time on all non-diploma programmes after the given time limit (see Montessori Training/ Study Options). A maximum of one extension of one year will be granted in certain unusual circumstances such as illness. An administration fee applies = 3000nok
REPEAT OF MODULE
A module may need to be repeated if:
§ The student has gone past limit for R and NS assignments
§ The student has not completed within basic time plus allowed extensions
Module Repeat Fee applies = 6000nok (stepping stone fee)
Repeat modules must be completed within two years (1.5 years for practical modules).
If a student has repeated a module and not completed satisfactorily on the second attempt, the module must be applied for and repeated with the standard fee.
[Administration and Repeat Module fees have to be charged by the college to cover the increase in costs that have occurred since the original fee was paid.]
WITHDRAWAL AND REFUND POLICY Back to top
· There is no refund of registration fees
· There is no refund of fees for stepping stones units
· There is no refund of fees for "stand alone" modules
· There is no refund of fees for special programmes under Other Options
· There is no refund of deposits paid on diploma programmes
· If a fee is paid before the due date (see fees) the student may have a ten day “change of mind” period but that ten days must not extend beyond the due date for fees.
· In the case of monthly paying students for diploma programmes all monthly fees up to one month after withdrawal notice is received are due. Deposit and paid monthly fees to that date are not refundable.
· Advance paid fees attract a considerable reduction and it is a condition of accepting this reduction that the terms and conditions of withdrawal are accepted.
· In the case of advance paying students for diploma programmes, no refund is payable except on receipt of medical certification stating that the student is unable to complete the programme of study at any time within the maximum time allowed (3, 4 or 5 years).
· The refund for advance paying students for diploma programmes will be paid at the end of the 3, 4 or 5 year period if supporting medical evidence at that time confirms the student's inability to complete the study programme. The refund for such students will be the fee paid less the deposit amount that applied at the date of enrolment, less administration fee equal to the deposit, less charge of 17500 nok per single module or 10000 nok charge for a module which has been started but less than 25% of the module has been completed.
· In all cases where there is no refund possible Waterpark is willing to negotiate credit for further study.
